Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect what you type into the request form so we can call you back about your pump, and nothing else. We do not track you, we do not use cookies, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.

Who this covers
This policy describes what happens to information on the Poseidon Pump Service website. It covers this website only. It does not cover what happens once we are working with you as a customer, where ordinary business records — estimates, invoices, service history — are kept the way any contractor keeps them.
What we collect
There is exactly one place on this site that collects anything, and it is the request form. Nothing is gathered from you just for reading the site.
If you use the homeowner request form
We ask for, and require, all of the following:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your town
- The type of service you need
- A description of the problem, in your own words
If you use the commercial or municipal request form
We ask for your organization, a contact name, phone number, email address, your role, the type of facility, what you need done, the number of pumps, how urgent the work is, and the site address or town. You can also add notes.
What we do not collect
- No cookies. This site sets none.
- No analytics and no tracking. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, and no third-party script of any kind.
- No location data. We never ask your browser for your location. The only thing we know about where you are is the town you type into the form yourself.
- No accounts, no passwords, no payment details. There is nothing to log into and nothing to buy on this site.
The one thing stored in your browser
When you first arrive, the homepage plays a short opening animation. So that it does not replay every time you move between pages, the site leaves a single marker in your browser’s session storage recording that you have seen it. It contains no information about you, it is readable only by this site, and your browser discards it when you close the tab. That is the only thing this site stores on your device.
Who else sees your request
When you submit a request form, it is delivered to us by a service called FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which takes what you typed and emails it to us. We use it because this is a plain website with no database of its own — your request goes to an inbox, not to a server we run.
That means FormSubmit handles your message on its way to us, and their own privacy terms apply to that step. As is normal for any service that receives an internet request, they may also record technical details of the submission, such as the network address it came from. We do not control what FormSubmit retains, and we would encourage you to read their terms if that matters to you.
Submitting the form is the only time this website contacts any outside service. Simply reading these pages sends your information nowhere.
Our web host keeps the ordinary server records that every website host keeps, which can include the network address of visitors and which pages were requested. We do not use those records to build any profile of you.
What we use it for
We use what you send us to respond to you about your pump, and for nothing else. Specifically:
- To call or write back about the work you asked about
- To ask follow-up questions, quote the job, and schedule it
- To keep a record of the work if you become a customer
We do not add you to a mailing list because you filled in the form. We do not send marketing you did not ask for.
What we never do
- We do not sell your information. Not to anyone, at any price.
- We do not rent, trade, or share it for advertising, and we do not hand it to data brokers or lead-generation companies.
- We do not publish it. If we ever want to use a photograph of your job or quote something you said, we will ask you first.
The only people who see your request are the people at Poseidon Pump Service who need to act on it, plus the delivery service described above. We may also share information if the law genuinely requires it — a court order, for example.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not turn into work, we have no reason to keep it and it goes no further than the inbox it arrived in. If you do become a customer, we keep the ordinary job records a contractor keeps — what we quoted, what we installed, what we serviced — because that history is genuinely useful the next time something goes wrong with the same equipment, and because business and tax records have to be kept for a period anyway.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it. The only thing we cannot delete is a record we are legally required to keep, such as an invoice.
Call us on 717-658-2557, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and say you are calling about your information. You can also use the request form and say so in the message. We do not publish an email address on this site, so the phone is the fastest route.
Please tell us enough to find your record — usually the name and phone number you gave us, and roughly when.
You are never required to use the form. If you would rather tell us nothing until you have spoken to a person, call instead — the number above reaches us just the same.
Security, stated honestly
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and your request is sent encrypted to the delivery service described above. Once it reaches us it lives in an ordinary business email account, protected the way that account is protected.
We are a pump company, not a security company, and we would rather be straight with you than impressive: no method of sending information over the internet is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise otherwise. Please do not send us anything sensitive through the form — no bank details, no card numbers, no identification numbers. We will never ask you for any of those on this website.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on a property. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, call us and we will remove it.
Where you live
We are a small business working within about 45 minutes of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and this site is intended for people in that area. Comprehensive privacy statutes such as the European Union’s GDPR and California’s consumer privacy law are written around businesses that operate in those places or that reach a size we are nowhere near, so we do not claim to run the formal request-and-response machinery those laws describe. What we do instead is simpler and, we think, the point of them: we collect very little, we use it only to do your work, we never sell it, and if you ask us to show you it or delete it, we will.
If you are outside our service area and want your information removed, the same phone number works.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works — if we ever add analytics, or change how requests reach us — we will update this page and change the date at the top. We will not quietly start collecting something and leave an old policy standing.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know exactly what we hold about you, call and ask. A person will answer.
